Setting up Online Banking
Once you've confirmed that your account is enabled on the bank's end for access using the protocols Moneydance employs, you can connect using the following process:
- Create, if necessary, and select the appropriate account in Moneydance
- Click the "Online" button in the account's register and select "Set up online banking" from the popup menu
- Select "New Connection" button in the window that appears
- Select your bank from the list that appears
- Follow the on-screen instructions to finish establishing the connection. These instructions may vary depending upon your financial institution and the type of account.
After successfully connecting to an institution once, that institution will appear in the drop-down menu on the "setup online banking" window and the two grayed-out options in the "Online" drop-down menu will become available.
