MSVCR71.DLL
Sometimes Moneydance used to fail to launch (or install) properly and would spit out something to the effect of "Missing MSVRC71.dll."
Installing the latest version of Java should solve this problem. As of August 14th, 2007, The Moneydance installer also fixes the problem ( As it uses a newer version of java). The new installer should completely solve the MSVCR71.DLL problem as well as the vista problems that the old installer had.
