Moneydance supports the encryption of your data file with a password.
This feature is accessible by using the File -> Encryption menu.
When using the encryption feature be careful not to forget your password as there is no "back door" to retrieving your data.
Moneydance also uses extensions that are digitally signed using a 1024 bit private key (soon to be 2048 bit) and online communication uses the default https support in java with at least 128-bit encryption (AES or DESede). All of these features add up to create a program that is very secure.
