MD Freezes on Print

I'm trying to print a report - this happens with any report or chart. When I click the "Print" button, it turns blue and then MD freezes. I can only recover using Force Quit.I've tried this using MD 520 and 528 and Java 1.1 and Java 2 printing - same result. I can't find anything in the console that's relevant. I'm using a Powerbook 17inch PowerPC, MacOS 10.4.6, JavaVM 11.4.0 Any help would be appreciated as this is getting urgent.
