Description

It can be that MoneyDance can exchange OFX data with Swiss Banks (UBS, Credit Suisse) in the USA, but this is not possible with Swiss Banks in Switzerland, due to other requirements by the law. Please see the short extract from MoneyDance Discussion>General Category>Online Banking an Bill Payment.

Hope you can change this.

Best Regards Hans Weber

Can Moneydance also being used for online-banking with swiss bank such UBS, Credit Suisse and PostFinance?? When yes, what are the OFX connection data I use for those banks (UBS, Credit Suisse, PostFinance?) Thanks for your answer. Hans Weber Switzerland

mmaughan Support:

hans, Moneydance can direct-connect with UBS and Credit Suisse, but not PostFinance?. However, you should still be able to download files from this bank for import into Moneydance. Let us know if we can provide further assistance.

Hi Maureen I contacted UBS Switzerland in Zurich. They told me that there is a special OFX-interface. Due to the Swiss law against money laundry, financial sofware that uses this interface needs to indicate special data. If your company doesn't takes care about this special OFX-interface, MoneyDance is not able to tranfers data to UBS Switzerland. This in contrast to your first information. Unfortunately, this means for me, that I will not use MoneyDance in the future, unless your company provides an interface for UBS. Best Regards, Hans

I also have an UBS ebanking account, so I face the same situation as Hans. I will be glad to hear the answer.

Best regards, Francois

I found a software which communicates with UBS: http://www.cashcomm.ch/en/ So it can be possible.

Apparently for UBS there is 2 differents interfaces: - KeyDirect?: http://www.cashcomm.ch/fr/liste-banques.cfm?gid=32&iface=keyd#interface (in French) - Internetbanking: http://www.cashcomm.ch/fr/liste-banques.cfm?gid=3&iface=ubs_inet#interface (in French again) which seems to be more OFX compliant than the previous one.

I would like to add my support for this feature. Heck, I'd be willing to buy the software again if it would help. :-)

I'm not much of a software developer, but I am an IT guy (Unix admin) so I'd be happy to assist with any testing or such that you need. Since I'm guessing y'all probably don't have Swiss UBS accounts... ;-)
