Currently opened file does not save when opening an existing md file by double clicking it

Description
The currently opened file does not save when opening an existing md file by double clicking it. The File>Preferences>general "save on every quit" is checked.
Select File>Open recent does save the currently open file. Double clicking a file should have the same behaviour.
