usability problem with download/import transactions: resuming an unfinished import

Description

Using Moneydance 2008 (build 603) to import an OFX file, I ran into several usability problems, such as:

If you navigate away from this screen to check on something in another account, there is no way to resume the import. You have to start over.

Eventually I ran across this user guide page: http://moneydance.com/trac/wiki/userguide_en_ch08p004

which talks about the "Show Downloaded Transactions" function. I assume that's a menu choice from the online banking menu, but the help text doesn't specify.

The existence of this functionality is non-obvious, and I don't think covered in the help text supplied with the product.

At minimum this is a help text bug.

Ideally, the UI should be tweaked to some how make it more apparent that this feature exists. I was never particularly fond of other money programs that treated screens like web pages and provided a back button, but that's one method of letting a user get back to an interrupted operation. A less drastic change might be to display a notice banner letting the user know they have some unfinished task waiting, with a click on the banner taking them back to it.
