Build 607: Incorrect Expenses/Income Graph Totals

Description

I had mailed this through to the support address but decided to create a TRAC ticket as the issue remains unfixed in the latest build.

Nested categories do not correctly add up, which negates the usefulness of the Home Screen expenses/income graphing, please see the attached images.

Using build 607 on OSX 10.5.2 with standard Java.

I just wanted to add the following.

The Expenses Graph is currently telling me that 'This Month' I have spent £176 in total on Food & Eating, broken down across various sub-categories.

If I run a Report for Expenses I get over £377 in total for the same time period.

Just to see if this is a recent fault I have installed builds sequentially, rolling back to 603, each build calculates a completely different total for the Category 'Food & Eating' - This clearly isn't right. In effect the Income & Expenses Graph on the Home Screen is currently a nonsense when multiple sub-categories are used. I really do think it's quite urgent that this bug is looked at.

If there is any further information I can give to assist, or, if you want a copy of my data file..... please let me know

I agree that this is a pretty major problem. it makes me question ALL reports and calculations in the program. I mean, if this doesn't work, what else is wrong? This is pretty frustrating, because I really want Moneydance to work for me (especially now that I've paid for it).

I would advise removing the Expense Graph from the next release if it can't be fixed. Thanks. Eric

This appears to be the same issue as I reported in ticket #1673 http://moneydance.com/trac/ticket/1673.

Can we get an update on the status of this issue?
