Foreign currency investments change values

Description

I have noticed that investments in non-base currencies, held in non-base investment accounts, appear to change value randomly. I think this is an error but am not sure if it is me (I am new to MD).

Example: I own a property in Greece valued at 300,000 euros. It is entered as a security in an investment account nominated in euros. My base currency is GBP. Every day or so I find the value has increased to more than 300,000. When I look at the security history I find new prices entered--for instance 1.4738 (which is the correct pound/euro rate) but sometimes 1.33 (which appears to bear no relationship to anything).

These changes have not been entered by me and are presumably occurring as a result of the exchange rate adjustments. But, since the account is in euros and the investment is in euros, there should be no changes unless I manually adjust to account for capital appreciation. The valuation should always remain in euros.
