The MD system of "clairvoyance" for the categories definitely has some
quirks.
I've found that, at any level of the category, if I continue typing correct
characters after it finds the correct match, it may change to something
completely wrong! This often happens before I see that it has already
matched what I was typing. I would think I should be able to type a complete
category path (including colons) and have it hold the match, but it doesn't
seem to work that way.
Also, I often cannot get it to match on a subcategory after typing the ":",
and have to resort to using the popup menu.
