Hello Money Dancers,

I've just downloaded and paid for the Mac version (MoneyDance 2008 - 606)
and need some direction please.

Seems I've been reading about connecting directly with my bank (Chevy Chase
in Washington DC) to get my transactions. Would like to set up MD for 2008
and entering every transaction seems tedious. An attempt to connect thru
'online banking' to get a list I get this error message:
Java.io.ioexception HTTP://moneydance.com/synch/moneydance/fi2004.sig.
Not sure what this is about. Would someone give me some direction please?

Secondly with auto fill it seems typing in the whole category is needed.
Ex: Personal:Entertainment. Is there a better way? I'm thinking of
rearranging the categories and eliminating the 'prefix' (Personal, Bills,
etc). I don't really have that many categories and see not reason for sets
and then subsets.

Finally, might there be a tutuorial available? Oh, or maybe this list is
the tutorial? (grin). I've enjoyed what I've been reading so far, yet not
sure I understand a lot of it yet. Seems like a great group of people who
appear to be more then willing to help each other out......and newbies like
me.

Thanking you all in advance,

Ronald (dancing with his money, not dancing around it anymore.....with
MoneyDance)
