NEVER trust a spam filter completely. Never never never NEVER !!!NEVER!!!

Yes, USE a spam filter -- you have to with any email address used in 
public. And yes, there are some server-level blocks which can be trusted 
completely. But as for filtering spam at the client level, if you don't 
review what is classified as junk, then you WILL lose valid email.
