It seems that I have found something interesting in the cups error log.
In /var/log/cups/ I have the error:

[cups-driverd] Unable to open PPD directory "/opt/share/ppd": No such
file or directory

My only current ppd file for my hp41 printer is in /etc/cups/ppd/hp41.ppd.

Is there any way to tell Java to look in /etc/cups/ppd?

I made an /opt/share directory
and tried a soft link from
/etc/cups/ppd
but still can't print from Moneydance.
