[moneydance] current balance is old?

Database corruption can also be caused by borderline hardware.

Agreed.  I leave applications open all the time, for weeks or months at
a time, and don't see any reason I shouldn't.  Applications which don't
work in that environment usually find themselves on my "only use them if
I have to" list.

I don't usually leave *Moneydance* open for weeks/months, but that's
just because I'm not using it every day.  If I were, it would stay open.
(I tend to update my data in Moneydance weekly or so.)
