Sure, but you should probably extend that to operating systems, several
allocate and forget to free RAM from time to time. Or hardware fails,
this system has only been up for 30 days because I had a failing memory card.
OTOH, Moneydance has never lost any of my data, but the auto-save
feature is nice and I have have an automatic nightly backup to tape.
Yeah, I should back up to off-site.
My career is OS architecture and implementation (though I don't have any
code in Windows or Linux), and I'm quite comfortable leaving Moneydance
running for weeks. I do restart Firefox from time-to-time, it may have a
memory leak, at least it just gets bigger and bigger.
I usually exit it if I want to run some other app in the virtual screen
I save for such things (so I don't accidentally type at it) or run my
networth program (running two copies of MD at once isn't a best practice).
