[moneydance] Envelope Budgeting/Category Balances...

All,

Just downloaded MoneyDance and looking to crowbar the Envelope Budgeting
System into it.  I found a discussion on the forums for this with this
mention in particular:

which outlines basically what I had come to work out myself when I saw
that Categories have a "balance."  My question on the forum and here
[apologies for the cross-post] is what breaks by doing this?

Basically, you are using one Category [such as salary, or in the above
example, a more generic one called Income Case Pool in the verbiage of
Mvelopes] to create transactions between Categories.  This will in
effect "zero out" all of your categories [a minor simplification] each
month rather than letting them grow to infinity.

Because of this, I was wondering what reports/graphs/widgets/etc. in the
MoneyDance UI will misfire doing this?
