[moneydance] Downloading Ameriprise transactions

I can no longer download transactions from my Ameriprise Financial
account within Moneydance (build 582.) I have a few theories as to
what the cause of the problem might be.

I see that Moneydance is trying to connect to 12.29.100.25 which
corresponds to the bootstrap URL I found in my moneydance.md file.
"bootstrap_url" = "https://www99.americanexpress.com/myca/ofxdl/us/
download?request_type=nl_desktopdownload"

Using these settings, which are unchanged from previous successful
attempts to download transactions, I receive this error:

"There was an error communicating with your financial institution.
The details of this error are below.

The error code reported by the server was: 2000
American Express is unable to fulfill your request at this time.
Please try again later."

But Ameriprise is no longer a part of American Express. I suspect
that they may have changed their OFX URL some time this summer.

Looking on the Quicken support forums I found this message. http://
www.quickencommunity.com/webx?14@@.efeb496/3 It indicates to me that
the new URL for Ameriprise's OFX server is https://
www25.ameriprise.com/AMPFWeb/ofxdl/us/download?
request_type=nl_desktopdownload

I tried to manually set up Ameriprise online banking using these
settings in the New Connection dialog box:

Name: Ameriprise Financial - custom
OFX Institution Org: ampf
OFX Institution ID: 3102
OFX Connextion URL: https://www25.ameriprise.com/AMPFWeb/ofxdl/us/
download?request_type=nl_desktopdownload

After clicking OK in the New Connection dialog I get this error:

"There was an error communicating with your financial institution.
The details of this error are below.

The error code reported by the server was: 2000
The server does not support the PROFMSGSRQV1 request, or a request
was made against an invalid organization. Please verify the
Organization name and FID and try again.
[ref: 1193209000853-1]"

Despite this error I forge on and the Online Banking Signup wizard
asks me for the "Broker ID." My best guess is that it is
"ameriprise.com"

In the end I still cannot download any transactions.

Again on the Quicken support forums I see there is a similar problem
with error code 2000. There have been many suggestions that the
problem is related to some recent changes in Ameriprise's password
policy. So I changed my password to meet their new policy yet I
still cannot get Moneydance to download the transactions.

Please let me know how I can help you diagnose the problem. Your
help will be greatly appreciated.
