Sorry, clicked 'Send' by accident.

When I have loaned money to people in the past, I've created a cash account with a negative balance. Then as I was repaid, built it up to a zero balance.

However I have learned the hard way that if you still want your friend next week, don't lend him money today. I've also heard horror stories about family loans and that is a road I have not had to travel luckily.
