[moneydance] Ubuntu 7.10 and Moneydance

Hello,

I am trying Ubuntu 7.10 after using Fedora for years and cannot install
Moneydance.

You get the following error.  

paul at paul-u:~/Download$ sudo sh moneydance_linux_x86.sh
No suitable Java Virtual Machine could be found on your system.
Do you want to download a JRE? (y/n)
paul at paul-u:~/Download$
If you install java if gets to the first install screen but there is no
text in it

 
>From looking around it seems to have to do with Moneydance not "seeing"
the java install even if you install java with MD.  Does anyone have the
answer for this problem?
