One of us doesn't understand what is meant by "making the reminders use the
same entry fields as the register". In my understanding, such a change is
orthogonal to the changes necessary to fix the bug, which I consider to be
very important. That's why I brought it up.

It's listed on the bug tracker as a current bug, so I don't see how it could
work on your system.
