[moneydance] transferring securities between accounts

What's the proper way to entry a tax-free transfer of securities
between accounts?

Suppose I want to transfer 100sh of GOOG in account A to account B: I
could enter a sell of 100sh in A at the price I paid for them, and
enter a BuyXfr in B for 100sh of GOOG at the same price. This will
maintain the proper cost basis, but it gets the holding period wrong,
because it's set to the date of the BuyXfr. Does it work to just set
the "Tax Date" on the BuyXfr to the original purchase date?

A similar problem occurs when a security changes names, or is
exchanged for a different security in a tax-free exchange.
