[moneydance] similar transactions not downloading

What's the method you're using to download?

If you are, say, downloading a QIF file, and you select "From another
program" when you download, Moneydance will just import the data without
asking you any questions, and it will also attempt duplicate transaction
removal, much like what you describe.

If you select "From a downloaded file" then Moneydance should present a
dialog where you can accept and correct each transaction as it comes in.
