[moneydance] Ack! New securities downloaded and disappeared

I just downloaded transactions from a broker (Schwab), including 
a BUY of a new security. After the download, MD (570) presented 
a dialog asking about this new security, and I clicked the 
default--something like 'None of the above' (this is a new 
security, it's not in any list).

After going through all the downloaded transactions, I found 
that the BUY transaction was nowhere to be found! Nor did that 
security appear in the portfolio, or in the list of securities 
(popup on the Detail page).

I was able to Add the security manually (MD already knew about 
it, i.e. it was the default name when I did an 'Add Security' in 
the Detail pane) and then enter the BUY, again manually. Now it 
shows up in the portfolio.

Did I click the wrong thing, when I clicked the default in the 
dialog asking about the unknown security? How could MD just 
disappear a downloaded transaction like this? Sorry, I can't go 
back and try another path, those transactions won't download again.

PS what's also amazing is the new security appears at the BOTTOM 
of the Portfolio View list. It's like the list isn't sorted 
alphabetically, even case-sensitively. All the securities whos 
names were added by downloaded transactions come AFTER all the 
securities I added by hand, before I got downloading to work. 
They aren't even alphabetically ordered among themselves (the 
Schwab downloads bring the names in as all caps).

It's always sad to see MD stumbling on simple things like this. 
One wants to have solid confidence in one's financial tracking 
software. I REALLY want to get off of Quicken this year (My 
Q2005 will 'sunset' next year), but it doesn't make horrible 
mistakes like this.
