I know that, somewhere in the past, there have been discussions about various
bumps in the road to installing on Linux - I just can't find anything that
relates to my situaltion.
I have been using Moneydance, very successfully, on a 32-bit installation of
Linux. Recently, for various reasons, I moved to Ubuntu 7.04 AMD64 version.
Now I am having difficulty installing Moneydance, please see the following
messages:

Now I know, if this was a Debian package, I should be able to use the
following to install:
sudo dpkg -i --force-architecture packagename_i386.deb
Anyone out there have success in installing on 64-bit Linux?
