I updated the firmware for my Actiontec GT701-wg DSL router (to version 5.5 
from version 4) and the problem is fixed.  I presume that updating the 
firmware in the router for my other network (Linksys WRT54G) will solve the 
problem there as well, but I won't be able to try for a month.  I bet the old 
firmware was not handling IPv6 correctly.
