[moneydance] Stock Quote Synchronizer doesn't connect

I get the status message "Getting price for ... from finance.yahoo.com", but
after a delay of several seconds (~15) the message goes away and the price
has not been updated.  Occasionally, it appears that the synchronizer does
get an update for one security, but then hangs on a subsequent query; the
price for the previous one does not get updated even though the
synchronizer appears to have gotten a response.  I am able to ping
finance.yahoo.com.  In fact, all the prices got updated once when I first
purchased the securities (which was necessary because the prices that got
recorded from the transaction were wrong), but I have not been able to
update again since then.

Also, when I created the securities, I entered their abbreviations.  Where
do I go to see what I entered and change the entry if necessary?  It does
not appear under Securities Detail nor under Edit Security.

v555 on Linux (Kubuntu 6.10).
