[moneydance] Moneydance beta (556) - big problem with securities pricing tonight

Tonight (Thursday, Jan. 18), when I used the stock synchronizer plugin
to update my stock prices (something I do each weekday evening with no
problems until tonight), the value of my IRA (a Scottrade investment
account) suddenly dropped by 43%!

I went online with Scottrade and verified that, though the value had
dropped a bit because of today's market action, it was nothing like
43%.

When I looked at the Stock Prices list on the Moneydance home page, I
could see the problem. 25 of the 47 securities showed a share value of
precisely $7. A coincidence? I think not!

My first suspicion was that the Stock Quote Synchronizer (build 22)
had malfunctioned. But I run it every evening, and it's been fine
until tonight. Re-running it didn't seem to change anything.

But here's the weird thing. When I check the Currency/Security History
window for any of the securities with a bogus share value, I see the
Price text box contains a 7, but the scrolling price history list
below looks just fine, and has the correct share price for today's
close (1/18/2007).

So what's up with that?
