So have you tried "env CUPS_SERVER=localhost Moneydance"?

I normally run Moneydance buy double clicking on it's icon that I got
> from /opt/Moneydance that I copied to the desktop.


Speaking of which - Sean - could you look into the .desktop file? It's
missing the required Encoding field, as far as the Debian desktop
installation script complaints, and after fixing this I still couldn't find
Moneydance in the Gnome menu system.
