Actually, it's a bit more complicated, because the reminder is linked
to the loan. Here are the steps I took:
1. Copy my data file
2. Delete the old Mortgage Payment reminder
3. Create a Liability account to match my loan, with no opening balance
4. Go to the Edit screen on my mortgage. Change nothing; click OK
5. Yes, transfer the amount of the loan into an account, using the
Liability account I just created.
6. Now, I get a dialog box asking me to create the Reminder, which I
do the way Sean mentioned. I named it "Split Mortgage Transaction, so
I'll know I need to use it!
Thanks Sean, for helping me fix this. BTW, have I mentioned how much
I like Moneydance and it's creator?
