[moneydance] proxy with authentication

Hello all,

I am trying to run MD2007beta2 build 555 at work. Setup is WinXP Pro SP2 java 1.5.0_06.

We have a proxy here that requires username and password. I used the proxy address and port number from the Internet Explorer settings. I entered all info into the Network tab of the Preferences dialog box. I still get an error when I try to download the list of financial institutions to setup Online Banking. There is a ticket #831 about this issue.

I may be wrong but I heard that the proxy administrators may also block certain protocols and allow others. Does MoneyDance use its own protocols or is it only HTTP?
