Thanks - I definitely appreciate it.

just fixed this for the second beta.

Yes, I was going for "efficient" at first, but you're right that it makes it
too hard to deal with. I also fixed this for beta2.

-what is the left most column in the table? there's not title and no cell

If you have budget items that conflict (same category for overlapping time
intervals) that column shows an alert icon for the conflicting items.

-enable column sorting.

The item list is self-sorting so that sub-categories are kept with their
parents, so I disabled column sorting. Otherwise things get pretty
confusing.

-add running totals at the bottom -income and expense. otherwise it's a crap

Great idea. I will need to add this to a future update though.

-make this (and the budget manager) non-modal. it's impossible to research

I like it, but this will also have to be a future update.

a suggestion more likely to be ignored :-) re-work the budget interaction

I think this is a good idea, we'll see if I can get it to work properly. I
probably won't get a chance to do this for the general MD 2007 release, but
I put it in the trac (http://trac.moneydance.com/trac/ticket/861) along with
the unfinished items above.

budget report and budget graph.

This is also planned but not yet completed. I think it might end up being
an option since some people seem to not want unbudgeted expenses at all.

This was a bug that is fixed for beta 2.

-the budget graph could do with some tool-tips. i'm not sure how to read it.

For beta 2 if you click on the budget graph it will show a (currently very
ugly) popup that includes all of the detailed numbers that went into the
graph.

expenses graph

I just added the highlighting for beta2. I would prefer tooltips, but I
couldn't make them work the way I liked.

once again, great job. the beta seems to be in good shape. my compliments to

I appreciate the detailed feedback. Keep it coming! Also, if you want to
submit them as formal requests, feel free to register for a trac account:

Cheers!
