[moneydance] MD 2007 will not install on Linux

hi, downloaded MD 2007 installed without any problem on Windows, changed 
to PClinuxOS and tried Mandriva 2007, on neither of them MD 2007 goes 
further than a blank install screen, tried cli, also as root, tried 
version with and without java, no show.
To me it looks to be a java problem, it unpacks the jvr etc. and hangs then.
I can install 2004-2006 without any troubles.
When using the Windows MD 2007 file with MD 2006 in Linux I get only a 
small screen that's impossible to maximize.
