Thanks for all the suggestions.

Right now, I don't use MYOB for payroll or inventory or sales, just  
basic keeping track of money, for which task it seems much inferior  
to MD - and has an absolutely dreadful interface (at least on the  
Mac) to boot. The one thing MYOB seems to have going for it, that I  
can see in my limited usage, is its Cards system, whereby you can  
keep more detailed info about vendors and employees and so on.

A question about export/import into MD:

If I were to export some accounts and then import them into MD, how  
would this work?

For example,

MYOB exports into CSV or TSV files. Can MD import in these formats?  
If not, where do I find info on how to massage these into qifs or  
something else MD _can_ read?
