I have been using MD for my one-man business since 2001 and in my case I 
had no serious problems. I even had a tax inspection and only got 
positive comments from the tax inspector about the program.
Having said that, MD is not a business program. If you work with foreign 
currencies e.g. you will get small differences in your trial balance. 
There are no modules or features dealing with a large number of debtors 
or a module to handle fixed assets.
All of those can we handled with work-arounds or external spreadsheets., 
but in that case you must have sufficient knowledge of bookkeeping.
