Hi Sean & Amos!
I think Amos may be having the same issue that I did with the Debian gcj
packages installed. This is one of the symptoms that I ran into a while back.
Per your suggestions Sean I removed all of the gcj items and the problem
disappeared. However I am NOT using the same 64 bit environment. I need very
reliable, not screaming fast, so I am running a more stable 32 bit
environment. I wonder also why the use of amd64 compiled software on an Intel
core 2 duo processor.
Good luck Amos & please post your solution when you figure it out. I am
currently planning to build a new server using the amd64 system using amd
processors & will run MD on it as well.
