Greetings,
To add fuel to the fire, I have noticed that since updating to Java
1.6.0_01 and installing all windows updates released in recent months on
my Windows XP Pro SP2 OS, Moneydance 566 seems to slow down drastically
after entering several transactions, eventually grinding to a halt,
corrupting the data file, and bringing the entire OS to it's knees, so
that even the Task Manager will not run. If I save often and close and
restart MD when it starts to slow down, I can avoid the problem.
I suspect that the Java is the culprit. One or two other programs have
also recently started behaving poorly as well on my machine. None of
those programs run in Java, however. My defenses against Trojans,
Viruses, etc. do not appear to have been compromised.
Is this a common problem?
David
