I've been using a Mac program called QIF Master to "massage" my QIF
files before I import them into MD. It helps me clean up the HUGE mess
my bank sends me in my OFX and QIF downloads.

QIF Master happily lets me change payees based on rules and auto sets
categories.

But when I import all this stuff into MD and choose "from a downloaded
file", so I can do matches, Moneydance still tries to replace payees and
categories based on some kind of internal logic it has (which,
ironically, I am sure is a feature that was added from the numerous
emails I sent in asking for the feature...) Is there some way I can
turn this off, so I can get the name and account information from the
QIF, or is the only way to do that to choose "from another program" on
the import and risk duplicates?

Andy
