[moneydance] Stock spinoff

Company A (of which I own shares) recently spun off Company B, issuing
fractional shares of B for each share of A held. (I noticed this when
the market value of my A dropped suddenly... then I remembered why, and
added B to my security list).

The only way I could figure to handle this was to Buy the proper number
of shares of B from "John's Cash," then record a phony "miscellaneous
income" into John's Cash of the initial value of the B stock. I'll have
to remember, later, that it wasn't really income.

Any better, smoother, more accountingly-correct, way to do this? The
number of Company A shares was not affected.
