[moneydance] Moneydance fails to start

I have been using Moneydance for some time now, presently with build 530 
on a PC with Windows XP SP2 and presumably the current JRE.  I 
mistakenly moved the currently open file to a different directory, 
leaving the .MD^ file in place. Then I closed Moneydance.  Since then 
Moneydance will not open at all, either from the program icon or from an 
icon of a known good .MD file.  Just for jollies, I tried re-installing 
the full windows installation file.  That did not help.  Anyone have any 
ideas?
