[moneydance] Merge two investment accounts

The only way I can think of doing it would be to consider the transaction at
its base level.  One or both of those accounts are actually being closed and
the funds/shares transfered to a new account.  Use the account numbers to
determine this.  Are you being issued a new number?  Or is one account
losing its number and getting assigned to the second account?   If it's the
former, then you should set up a new account in Moneydance and transfer BOTH
accounts information to it.  If it's the latter, then transfer the
information from one account into the other.
