[moneydance] MDI interface?

Any idea whether a Java program, or the Java system, running under Windows
XP can choose to use an MDI rather than SDI interface? Or in particular,
whether there's any current way to get MD to use MDI, and if not how
difficult it would be to get there?

For those not steeped in the alphabet soup, this refers to whether the
application has a large "application space" window within which all its
document windows open, or if the windows all float separately. The first is
MDI (Multiple Document Interface), the second is SDI (Single etc). The
Macintosh is like the SDI; I don't know about Unix systems but I think they
are also like SDI.

The problem isn't with SDI as such -- heck, if I had my druthers I'd be
using a Mac -- but with some of the awful things Windows does, like putting
every window into the alt-tab display and taskbar. This can be overridden,
but doesn't always work unless the application cooperates. (I have that
taskbar option set, but MD windows still appear separately.) And a Windows
screen just looks a lot more cluttered than a Mac screen even with the same
windows open.
