[moneydance] unable to edit an individual transaction in a loan

I followed the instructions recently posted here to get something 
previously listed as a loan in Quicken turned into a loan in 
Moneydance, and all is well.  Thank you!

However, now I cannot edit any of the transactions listed in the 
loan. I need to correct something on one of the lines (inherited from 
Quicken), and I cannot.

I can highlight the line, but I cannot change it no matter how many 
times I click or try various keys.  I cannot even reveal the contents 
of a split.

Am I missing the trick?
