In this corner..... I just installed Suse' 10.1 over my increasingly
clunky, but working with Moneydance, Suse' 9.2.
I can report that I have encountered no initial problems with
Moneydance, including printing with Suse' 10.1. I just printed Net Worth
as a test.
I did have problems with my default installed printer, an HP LaserJet
Series II, because of the page type defaulting to A4. I found several
locations in the printer setup options (please don't ask details because
it was very late and I don't remember exactly what all I did) that
needed to have the paper type changed. I even had to resort to a command
line program to set the cups configuration file default paper to Letter.
If my HP printer hadn't been able to tell me that it was expecting A4
paper, I wouldn't have been able to figure out what the h... was going on.
Even still, KPDF refuses to print in Letter paper size format. It
tenaciously clings to A4 even though the rest of the system is now
correctly using Letter size. Fortunately, Acrobat 7 works so much better
in 10.1 than it did in 9.2 that I don't need KPDF.
So far, I'm fairly pleased with Suse' 10.1, overall.
