FWIW, I do NOT have this crash problem.  I run 2006 r4 (526) Moneydance,
Java 1.5.0_06, OSX 10.4.6.   I wondered a bit about a month ago  
whether or
not to update to this latest Java, since I'd seen problems with crash  
on reconcile
documented here.  I finally did the upgrade and it did not seem to  
affect anything.
My MAC is a PowerPC unit (G5) with dual processors.
