It is a tough choice. I'll tell you my story so you know where I'm coming
from.

I left US Bank for a similiar but not exactly the same reason. One day I
logged into their online banking page with my firefox on linux browser and
was greeted with a "Your browser isn't supported on Linux message. Please
use Windows/Firefox/Netscape/IE so they went from supporting me to not
supporting me. I called the support desk asking for clarification and was
basically told to switch and they where not going to support linux browsers.
So I politely told them they would be loosing a customer of 10 years if they
didn't reconsider.. They didn't. Keep in mind at this point I was already
using Moneydance and hadn't had any trouble but I started to wonder if linux
support was going bye bye how long would it be until only quicken/money would
be supported and/or how hard would it be for Sean to "keep up" So I found
another bank.

I can recommend the one I switched to over a year ago Netbank
http://www.netbank.com the only thing is no branches, period, none. It is a
pain to deposit checks because you have to use the Mail or find an ATM that
will accept deposits for them, they do have a list but my deposits are very
rare as my employer does direct deposit and in my life having to deposit
checks is rare. I even got the ex-wife to direct deposit anything we
exchange.

So you can make your choice. I will say the coolest and I mean the coolest
feature is they have 24x7 service and I *Mean* 24x7. Early on say a month
into my switching I had a question about a transaction, I thought I would
test the 24x7. I called at 4am pst, not only where they there someone
answered within 2 rings, helped me and I was done. I've called on
saturday's, sundays it doesn't matter.

So there's my two cents. I'm sure there are others that are just as good.
I'm been able to be honest with Netbank, I've told them which software I use
and they don't care, they have always been able to help me with "their" error
messages and leave it up to me to convert those into whatever software I'm
using. It is refreshing to find a commercial venture that treats its
customers so well.

and no I'm not a paid or unpaid netbank spokes person.. <grin>
