If that were a Julian date, it'd be in 3178 (september 17, to be  
exact). If it were a Unix timestamp, it'd be in february 38763.

Some OS's store dates as elapsed time since a certain date. If I  
recall correctly, for the Mac it's January 6, 1901; for others, it's  
January 1, 1970. If it were milliseconds since a certain date, it  
would be 36 years, 9 months, 24 days, 15 hours, 48 minutes, and 20  
seconds. If you know what the price date was for that particular  
record, you should be able to calculate the starting date.
