For my rental property, I set up categories for rental income
(income), rental expense (expense), interest on the loan that I have
on the property (expense), and rental insurance on the property
(expense). Then I set up a detailed cash flow report and selected
the categories that pertain to the rental property. This gives me a
detailed report of how much I netted on the property for income tax
purposes.
