I only use two java apps -- moneydance and JEdit (www.jedit.org).

 From what I've read in various places while trying to hunt down this  
problem, the issue is caused by a combination of java and cups, not  
necessarily by Moneydance.

However, I just tried printing from JEdit (which I otherwise never need to  
do) and it worked just fine.  Moneydance, however, does not.  (Both are  
using the same versions of java, cups, etc.)  So maybe I'm on the wrong  
track.
