Many thanks.  I assumed I must have been doing something silly but I couldn't 
fathom out what. 

I do find the reminder windows a little difficult to understand.  It was not 
obvious to me that clicking "weekly" and "repeat every fourth Wednesday" 
meant not every fourth Wednesday but "every fourth Wednesday of the month".  
And it seemed natural to me that when I wanted to repeat sometning every so 
many weeks I should go into the weekly menu, not the daily one.
