Hmm, I haven't noticed this problem. I enter in the Ending date of the
statement and moneydance only pulls in anything uncleared before or on that
date. I wonder what is different about your situation.
However I have a problem in that it isn't easy to see which transactions are
incorrect if the balance doesn't match exactly. There are months where my
difference is zero and I just click done, but on the months where there is a
difference a couple of things would be nice.
1. Be allowed to select all/none by type of transactions. IE Deposit,
Expense, Check. Usually my income matches but I have to clear all check
marks, then recheck all of the income ones it would be nice to be able to
just uncheck all for the expenses.
2. Have the checks separate from the expenses with subtotals, etc. Most bank
statements break checks out so having moneydance do this makes it easier to
reconcile each part separately.
Just my two cents, it isn't that big of a deal but since it was brought up I
thought I'd chime in.
One last comment to Sean, I have to say the program is progressing nicely and
it is a joy to use. Everytime a conversation comes up about personal finance
programs I mention Moneydance, the room actually leans to one side from all
of the heads turning at the same time, but then I explain and certain
gravitational problems are corrected before to long, ;-)
